The VCMA Board of Directors have established a scholarship for students wishing to pursue a college degree in the field of music. The scholarship is awarded each spring. The VCMA Scholarship program was established as an extension of the group’s original purpose: to encourage participation in music, provide area musicians with performance opportunities and to provide cultural enrichment and education for the public. Both the VCMA Concert Band and the VCMA WindJammer Big Band were created to meet these goals. They have been performing for years while giving local musicians a great opportunity for musical growth and enjoyment while being a source of pride and entertainment for the community.

Funds for the VCMA Scholarship come from donations and an annual fundraiser.
